Sylvia Aurora is born of the Choctaw Cherokee Nation and grew up in Southwest Texas and New Mexico. Being in tune with her native roots, she is a skilled Native Jewelry Artisan, a trader of Vintage Native Blankets, Baskets & Jewelry and a supplier of Pow Wow skirts & moccasins. She continues to be active in local Pow Wows and Native Cultural Gatherings and is a passionate Native Rights Activist & Environmentalist, amongst many other passions and talents. 

Sylvia has been a proud resident of the North County San Diego community since 1971, and has honed her skills as a Drought Tolerant Gardening Designer, Consultant, Grower and Salesperson of Succulents and Cacti. With an educational background as a Registered Nurse Practitioner, she focused on Natural Healing foods & traditional Home Remedies and has studied with Natural Healers in Japan, Brazil, South & Central America, California and Hawaii. She continues her support of other’s personal healing as a Yoga and Qi Gong Practitioner and as a Meditation Facilitator through INNER WORLD JOURNEY~ Chakra Sound Meditation  offering sessions as a service to communities in Southern California, Bali, and Thailand. She has produced CDs through her music label “Inner World Music” which is co-owned by her partner, Peter Andrews. She also enjoys Writing, Co-directing  and performing with performance theater/music groups “the JOURNEY” – San Diego, the WORLDLY TRAVELERS – in Bali Indonesia and in San Diego with Peter and Friends.    

Sylvia is a world traveler and philanthropist of world children educational programs in India, Nepal, Vietnam and Indonesia and embodies the message of her favorite quote, “Today I live in the quiet joyous expectation of good.”
