The COVID-19 pandemic has affected almost every country in the world and Nepal is no exception. The new school year was scheduled to begin in April but the government restrictions have kept the school doors closed.
The Bishwa Seva Foundation Nepal team has been able to safely collect necessary food supplies and provide them to the students we support and their families as an extension of our nutritional support program, Kids Kitchen.
A Food Relief program has been created to support the vulnerable local community of Panauti as well. Funded through generous donations from the U.S. sponsors, this relief has been made available for individuals at risk of nutritional deficiency including families greatly affected by job loss, the elderly, and those affected by disabilities.
We thank the community for making this possible through the donations.
